I never heard of Lee Smith until I went to Key West for the literary seminar a couple years ago. She gave a keynote speech, and I was very impressed by her, so when I got the chance to snag this book I was excited. It was a wonderful book, beautifully written, about women's lives, women at 50-something looking back on their lives, on their college days and what happened to the girls they used to be. It was thoughtful and moving and I highly recommend it.
