Thought you guys might be interested to see how my wedding jewelry is coming along.
allthefishies is refurbishing my grandma's old ivory pendant, earrings, and bracelet for me. It's beautiful. Check it out here!
If you're interested in still more wedding planning, you can check out the rest of F's Flickr photostream. We're using it as an inspiration board to plan out some of the sorts of things we want.

Date: 2009-09-18 03:56 pm (UTC)From:The bracelet did not originally have the crystal beads. It was just the ivory/bakelite beads, on elastic that was really worn out. Amy unstrung it and restrung the bracelet on wire, and added in the pretty crystal beads. She'll add a nice clasp, too (the old bracelet just slipped on).
The earrings were clip-on. Amy removed the clip part and added the little beads to hide the part of the clip she couldn't remove. She's going to add some more beads to make them dangle just bit, and she'll put them on posts for pierced ears.
The chain for the necklace is in okay shape, but I never usually wear gold. Amy is going to take the pendant off and restring it onto a floating chain with more of the crystal beads. We're waiting to see what the neckline of my dress will be like before she proceeds with this.
The ivory is a little yellow and dirty--we'll clean it up before the wedding. Amy says a little dish soap will clean it right up, and will also make the crystal beads really sparkly.

I love love love the book ideas. Also I love the photography. Finally, I LOVE the hanging banners. Once I get the jewelry done, I'm available for other projects. :-)
I'll be working more on the jewelry this weekend, so I'll send more pics when I do. :-)

I love crafty things and I've already decided I'm eloping if I ever get married so I'd like to craft vicariously if possible.
