good weekend. i played massive amounts of frisbee, which was fun. i also packed all day saturday and filled ten or so boxes and hardly made a dent. on sunday after frisbee (we started at 10am, and i was home by noon) i went to target and got walkie talkies for jorn and i for the drive up north and some modifications for the Pig, and i stopped at bilo and picked up some more boxes. when i got home i sewed the Pig's leg back on (it was attached with a safety pin). so now the Pig is ready to be passed on as well.

the barbecue on sunday night was pretty fun until we got rained on--there were a bunch of people that i hardly got a chance to talk to. for example, if sunshine doesn't come for pancakes, i'll pretty much never see her again, and that'll make me really sad. not like we've been tight or anything, but i've always wished we could be better friends. she just... has so many other friends. and she's so busy all the time. it's my own fault for not making more of an effort, of course, but i never really had a reason to think my efforts would be reciprocated, i guess. sigh. i did get to hang with rhett and jeff and emily and sarah and jay, which was good. and i got to see fred again, and that made me really glad.

i got an email from the people at the mary baker eddy library with a more detailed description of the position i applied for, and they said if i'm still interested i should call to schedule an interview. i checked out the website, and it seems like a good place to work. can i live on $12/hour in boston, y'all?

things to do:

-mail thesis to velvetwaltz
-mail stuff to elan
-really start packing keep packing!
-work on getting a new NC drivers license (so i can sneakily keep the one with the good picture after i move)
-tear the lining out of the lemon dress
-email people about the bats game next saturday find out specifics about the bats game--time and how to get there
-stop by uncg: ask jim to write me a reference letter (hey, it can't hurt), and stop by CASA to say hello
-call uncg's career services people to make sure they received reference letters from everyone who was supposed to write me one, and give them my new address
