yo yo yo. this week has been phreakin' busy.

monday: up early, went to the gym. on the way back, stopped in to talk to dr. langenfeld about the summer assistantship. he gave me a stack of second proofs to work on while i'm in PA and told me a little about what we'll be doing when the job technically starts. then, home to shower, and off to work at CASA at 11. i had to get in early because we had a make up workshop scheduled 12-3, which is directly in the middle of my work time. so i made up an hour of the missed time 11-12, then went to the workshop, which was at melissa's house and was very cool. then, back to CASA for the last hour of my usual shift. then, running off to work at the HLC from 5 to 7:30. remember the shoe boy? well, i had him again monday night. and really, he's a sweet sweet kid, he's just hell to work with. monday night he insisted on coloring EVERYTHING, and he insisted on having three markers when all he needed was one, and i had to get dan and melissa like five times. not cool. and i couldn't tell if it was just because he's hyperactive or i'm a bad teacher. shouldn't i be able to catch this shit before it gets really bad, like realize that he's getting awful and divert the awfulness before it occurs? isn't that what good teachers do? i mean, sometimes, yeah, stuff happens, but i feel like i'm always running to dan with some big-ass problem. which wouldn't happen if he didn't keep giving me bad little boys to work with. or erin, the manipulative little girl. he doesn't ever give me the nice ones, like the sweet little girls who run up and hug you. oh, no. but after i was done with Bad Shoe Boy, i had half an hour of SAT verbal to teach, which was fun. i like that because it's mostly girls and we make fun of thad. so after i got home from work monday night, i was wiped out and had a wine cooler because i deserved it. then jorn and i went over to his place (he had been at my apt. doing some ironing for work) and i helped him mix and match his work clothes. he had no idea how to tell which pants would go with which shirt and tie, so i made a little note for the pocket of each shirt saying exactly what would go with it and in what combinations. and then he felt better.

tuesday: up early and in to work at CASA at 10. i usually work at 12, but i had to make up the extra two hours i missed the day before for the workshop. grr. so i was at CASA from 10 till 4, but it was okay, because i read a fantasy novel. instead of working on my T.S.P. Eliot paper, but we'll get to that later. after CASA i ran out to the HLC for another fun-filled action-packed night. i was on group for an hour, which was cool because i like the bigger kids, and then with a little boy named kevin, who was all excited about doing his work. i told dan thank-you. :) and then we had a teacher meeting, which lasted an hour, so i was at the HLC for four hours. so when katie and amber asked if i wanted to go to applebees for a drink with them, i said yes right away, even though i'd been hoping to see jorn that night. because i've never gone out with any of my friends from HLC before. and it was fun. amber is really cool, and katie is a total "soccer mom" PTA type, but she can be really crude sometimes and is therefore cool.

wednesday: up early again, to the gym. shower, then run to cvs to pick up my pills, then to work at blandwood. how many phreakin' jobs do i have to go to this week? but it was also cool, because i like being at blandwood, and no one wanted a tour so i just sat in the office and finished my fantasy novel (i read the entire Fionavar trilogy by Guy Gavriel Kay this week--jorn saw the cover and said, "why would he put a word no one can pronounce in the title of his books?"). and i wrote my letter to my friend jesse in rhode island, which was entirely and horribly overdue by two months. after i left blandwood i ran some errands, which included stopping at two used book stores to see if they had these books i want to get my dad for father's day (the empire princess series by graham diamond), but no luck, so i just bought a bunch of shit for myself instead. stupid rox. and i went to the bank and got a key made for elán, who is definitely moving in with me for the summer, so now she'll have a key so she can start moving shit in while i'm away. and then i started working on T.S.P. Eliot, and then i went over to jorn's for sweet lovin'.

the sweet lovin' part sounded good. the rest of it all sounded exhausting.
