Begun Castle

okay, so i work with a lady who also teaches Western Civ 101 here at UNCG. when she's grading term papers, she lets me know when she finds a real gem.

one of her students chose to comment on a picture from the textbook. okay, fine. the picture's caption reads: "Richmond Castle, Begun in 1089." by this i assume that this is a picture of a castle which people started building in 1089. wouldn't you agree? however, in the essay, the student wrote about how the castle is located in the town of Begun, mentioning this several times, so it clearly wasn't just a typo. if this is the case, then i'm amazed by the quality photography they had in 1089. but why did they call it Richmond Castle and not Begun Castle, if it's in Begun?

saw The Scorpion King with jorn tonight. it was really fun. i think i liked it better than jorn did, though. now i really want to rent Conan the Barbarian.
