and now that i've brought you up to date on my week, i can tell you about today. i wrote the whole T.S.Phucking Eliot paper. and typed it, and printed it out, and now it's sitting on my floor. i am very happy. i'm going to get offline in half an hour or so and walk down to the english department and drop it off in my prof's mailbox, and also drop off elán's key to my apartment. and that'll be one less thing to do tomorrow. because tomorrow, i am driving to hatfield, PA. woo. that means tonight i get to pack all my shit, including the extra shit that's been sitting in the spare room for ages that i want to take home to my parents (because elán will be putting her shit in the spare room instead). and i'll pack the car, and do the dishes, and clean the hamster cage, and water the plants, and drink the milk so it won't go bad while i'm away. and clean the apartment, did i mention that? the floor is phreakin' filthy. i need to sweep, sweep, sweep. because i don't want elán to think i'm a nasty slob when she moves in. i know she won't, but i still want the place to be clean while i'm gone.

and i'm excited to go home for a while. i know i'll be excited to come back in two weeks, though. and don't worry--my parents have a brand-new fast computer, so i'll still be on lj. aren't you relieved?

Rox (singing a little tune): This dress needs to be washed! so it goes / in the pile of clothes / on the floor.

Jorn: Wow, hit song in the making there.

but today i am very proud of jorn--i lent him my old SU tour guide golf shirt, because it'll be business casual for him to wear to work, and when i told him over the phone that it's maroon, he said, "oh, i bet it'll match my khakis." and he was right.

i just cleaned howard's cage and he was a very good boy about it. and jorn helped me pack a bunch of shit into my car for the drive tomorrow. for some reason i can't help having a full carload of shit when i drive to my parents' house. tomorrow morning i have to: dust, wipe off the tables, sweep the house, take howard and the other sack of laundry and howard's stuff and my backpack and the drying rack out to the car, then drop off the drying rack at jorn's and return the book to ed mckay's and get gas and then get on the road.

i hope no one minds that i'm always writing to-do lists in my journal. the more i write it, the better i remember it. i do this in emails to people too.
