Firefly yay

Last night I got my dad hooked on Firefly. I put on the two-hour pilot, and at first he was wandering around a bit (all right, getting a compress for his bad elbow, which is of course forgivable), but then he wanted to watch The Train Job, and then I went out to walk the dog and he watched Bushwhacked. I came back in time for the end of it. So now he's all the way through the first disk. So far, Dad commented that River seemed "fragile", and he seems to be waiting for a big blowout between Jayne and Mal. But he wants to keep watching! So it appears that I'm going to have to leave my dvds at my parents' house until he's done. :) Then I will lend him the comic and we will watch the movie and there will be much rejoicing.

I pick up on more and more stuff watching it again. Like I totally didn't get the "two by two, hands of blue" connection at the end of Train Job before.
