Had a very nice yoga practice tonight. Worked on all my strength-building stuff. I also was able to get straight legs in revolved triangle for the first time in ages--I have freakishly long legs so I can hardly ever manage that. Overall, it was really nice to come back to a solid yoga practice after only doing jammie yoga all week. I'm looking forward to getting back in the groove!
F and I caught up on last week's Heroes tonight.
- I was over the Sylar-in-Matt's-head plotline weeks ago. I continue to be over it. Really, really over it.
- Samuel is all about the big happy Gifted family, but he instructs young Invisible Beckie to isolate Claire, and, we can presume, approves of Invisible Beckie killing non-Gifted teenage girls. Also, he really seems to want to have a serial killer of his very own in the family. This carnival is obviously bad news.
- I was proud of Claire for figuring out what was going on and saving her friend. I am also proud of Claire for being okay with said friend's bisexuality, and for being open to such things in herself. I cheered for Claire several times during this episode.
- Kind of hated the Jeremy plotline, but also really sad he died. And what a crappy way to die. I mean, you're a small-town cop, but you should still know to arrest a dude even if he's freaky, right? In what way is it okay to lynch a guy? Well, they got theirs. I liked Samuel for knocking the police station down.
- Okay, I kind of like Samuel anyway. Even though I think he's misguided at best and idiotic at worst for wanting to bring back the real Sylar. Doesn't he get that the Happy Family Carnival is like an all-you-can-eat buffet? You can't control the superhuman homicidal maniac, dude. Anyone who ever tries to control the superhuman homicidal maniac gets his head sliced open. Ergo, if Samuel continues on this path, he's going to end this season with his head cut open while Sylar moves mountains in the background.
