so i finally beat Banjo Kazooie.

oh my god, i am so happy. it turns out i was *almost* at the end all those times when i got up to the part with the dingos. i had to survive through that part, until the dingonator (jinjonator, i know) emerges, and then i had to activate him, and he kicked grunty's damn ass. i was so, so psyched.

and then! in the ending sequence, mumbo says he's got exclusive pictures of what's going to happen in Banjo Tooie. and i could go play Banjo Tooie and find out firsthand, of course, but i think i'm going to try to get all 100 jigsaws so he'll show me the pictures. i was at 98 when i beat the game, and then got #99 without much trouble (the one in click clock wood where you have to gather acorns for the squirrel)--and really, the game is so much easier now that i've got the red honeycombs for double life. specifically, click clock wood is way easier, because i don't have to worry about imminent doom every time i plummet off the tree. so i got that one, and now i only have one more jiggy to get: the one in the propeller of the ship in rusty bucket bay. the one where you have to hit three different switches and then make it in 65 seconds from the engine room through several sharp propellers up to the deck and then into the water to swim down and get the jiggy before the propellers under the boat start up again and kill you. i'm thinking this may be the hardest jiggy in the entire game; there were some other hard ones, but this is just really tricky. so i'll try a few more times to get it and see what happens, but i'm not holding my breath. although it sucks to have beaten the game and be that close to having a perfect score without getting the last jiggy. sigh.

pretty soon i'll start ranting about Banjo Tooie. or i'll get a GameCube and start ranting about Windwaker. and all the other GameCube games i'm coveting. i bet you're all looking forward to that.

oh, and i watched Moulin Rouge last night while jorn was out at his show. and i started out really hating it, and thinking the music was horrid and that the whole thing was a weird blend of modern set in 1899. but you know, it grew on me. and of course you know from the beginning that setine's going to die, right from the first time she coughs up blood in a handkerchief you know she's consumptive (i could sing a little song now about "Consumption Junction" but i won't), but i still really got sucked in to the movie. and it was good. i'm not going to watch it obsessively 800 times like some of my friends (mostly because a bunch of scenes in the beginning would make me want to kill myself), but i thought it was good and i'm glad i watched it.

tonight i'm still psyched that i'm going to see The Fast Runner and hear the director talk about it, even if no one's going with me. it's supposed to be a really good movie and i've been wanting to see it for a while. so there.

i'm realizing the limitations of the photo editor program i downloaded. i mean, i guess i figured it would be missing some features, being free and all, but there's a lot of stuff i just can't do. and that's annoying to me. there's some features from, like, Paint that aren't in this program (like creating a square, for example), and not a whole lot in the way of text formatting. i mean, i'm not even talking about kerning or anything, just regular features from Word like strikethrough or outlining. and it's hard to get the fonts to look crisp unless the colors are actually white on black or something similar. feesh was telling me about templates, and i think if i had a bunch of templates i could use them, but i can't actually create any. which is annoying. but i'm not going to order me up hundreds of dollars of photoshop goodness, and at least this is better than what i was using before. fireworks, that would be good, i've used that before and liked it. i could always download photoshop's free 30-day trial. over and over again. argh.

STOP FUCKING SPAMMING ME. I WILL NEVER GO SEE THAT GODDAMNED MOVIE NOW THAT YOU POSTED FOUR COMMENTS ABOUT IT ON THE SAME FUCKING ENTRY, AND I WILL TELL MY FRIENDS NOT TO SEE IT. YOU GODDAMNED SON OF A COCK-ASS.

(to everyone else on my friends list: sorry about that. please return to your regularly scheduled programming.)

i would just like to tell y'all about this. today almost $1100 was directly deposited into my account (we get paid every two weeks). knowing that today was payday, i brought all my bills into work and wrote out a bunch of checks, totalling over $1000. i just spent my entire pay check, y'all. and i'm not even paying off the credit card bills till *next* month. let's have a cheer for erasing my debt!

yaaaaaaaaay.

but the good news is, all my roommates will be getting presents when i get home. that's right, i owed money to every single one of my roommates. but no longer, goddammit.

and i have two checks from my weekend job to deposit tomorrow. that's a good thing.
